BAREFOOT DAYS
Maenbalui Cheongchun

SYNOPSIS: It is true that you cannot choose your family but for Yo-suk, it doesn't mean that he has to live like them.

Yo-suk has been looking for his father since his mother died. When he went to Seoul to pursue his study as a police officer, he found out that his father is a head ruffian. People's perception on Yo-suk changed even if he tried to prove himself that he is a much better man than his family.

Prosecutor Ki's death caused Yo-suk his career and love. When his father got involved in the case, Sung-jun forbid Hae-jun to see Yo-suk and forced her to go abroad to avoid the scandal. Sung-jun carried on his dad's job with vengeance in his mind while Yo-suk lived away from the gangster world.

REVIEWS: *** It's bad enough that I have a poor copy of the DVD. Not only does the subs sucks, it is also dubbed in Chinese. The names are confusing too. That's what you get from being cheap.

It was a boring series. Every scene seems to be in slow motion. It's too detailed and too many flashbacks. It's annoying. Half the story, I skip it. All I wanted is to finish the series. I even missed a couple of episodes and yet, I didn't mind.

But Bae Yong-jun is definitely cuter here. He's younger and talented. His acting has improved a lot - from Barefoot to Winter Sonata. No wonder he is so popular because he became a versatile actor. He's got room for improvement.

What's interesting in the series is that, you'll also get to see the transition between series made in the 90's and the current ones. It gets better and better. But the clothes and hairdo looks kind of weird and funny. Those were the days…
