REVIEWS: This is truly
a great drama! Yoon Eun-Hye's acting was really remarkable.
Her acting lit up the screen. I thought she was good in Goong,
especially being her first acting job, but I was impressed
once again at how much better she has gotten in her profession.
Ko Eun-Chan is the perfect heroine. Her striving, selflessness
and bravery kept me thinking that I wish my character was
as strong as she was. As for the two male leads, I couldn't
help but fall in love with both of them. In some ways I had
wished that Han-Sung was the one she was meant to end up with
since his kindness, not to mention adorableness was just so
addicting, but the choice of Han-Gyul was a good, almost perfect
one. Watching the relationship between Han-Gyul and Eun-Chan
grow was worth the back ache I got from my uncomfortable chair.
I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen in the next
episode. And I cried as Han-Gyul struggled with his feelings
for his "brother" Eun-Chan. I yelled at the screen
"She's a girl! It's okay! Just tell her you love her!"
And I smiled with joy when the couple finally overcame their
"issues" and were able to finally get together and
then I cried again with Han-Gyul when Eun-Chan left to study
abroad. I just couldn't help it!
The other characters in this drama were just as addicting
to watch as the main characters. The "Princes" at
the coffee shop's variety of personalities was a great balance
to the series. They related well and added comedy and comfort
when needed. I almost wished they had developed their characters
a little more.
I found myself drawn to all characters in this drama except
one; Han Yoo-Joo, but I think maybe we were supposed to feel
that way. I truly enjoyed being entertained, enthralled and
addicted to this drama and I especially enjoyed becoming part
of the Coffee Prince experience that seems to be sweeping
South Korea at the moment. If you have not seen this drama
yet, I really recommend that you do. It's worth 17 hours out
of your week.
