ONCE UPON A TIME IN HIGH SCHOOL
Maljukgori Chanhoksa

SYNOPSIS: Hyeon-su, a Bruce Lee aspirant, transferred to a military-like high school. His introvert but smart image was changed when he became friends with the notorious Woo-shik. They always end up fighting against the seniors and get beaten up. Even though he usually runs away from them, Woo-shik always got his back. He was the only one Hyeon-su trusted and considered as a friend. When they both fell in love with the same girl, Eu-jin, Hyeon-su stepped back for the sake of their friendship. Instead, he pursued his dream of being a martial arts expert to defend himself and survive the chaotic world he is living in.

REVIEWS: Kwon Sang-woo can really fight. Not only he does his moves smoothly but also his physique proves that he definitely is a natural-born action star.

Besides Sang-woo's good looks, there are no other reasons to watch or like this movie. The gist is not even interesting. They just kept on fighting their butts off without even going deeper to the story. They plainly dealt with what might have been happening in school nowadays - on how a transferee copes up and how other students act like gangsters. Besides that, nothing else is clear. There are even unresolved issues. In the end, they didn't explain what happened to Woo-shik and even with Eu-jin's love affair. It's like, then what? They want you to make your own ending which is, I think, very unnecessary.

I really am disappointed in this movie. I'm expecting way more than this because it's Kwon Sang-woo.
