SYNOPSIS: The movie is
about two independent individuals: a trying hard journalist
Hyun Young as Choi Soo Jin and the detective who is trying
hard to keep an occupational hazard secret, Lee Dong Wook
as Kang Jae Hyuk who meets awkwardly when Choi accidentally
pokes Kang with a sharp skewer when he was trying to catch
a crook.
In need of a story, Soo Jin features an article regarding
this incident embarrassing Detective Jae Hyuk and this starts
a long string of "who-owes-who" antics against each
other.
The couple who supposedly annoys each other to pieces are
suddenly forced together when Soo Jin is assigned to work
on a reality show focusing on the life and work of a real
live detective - of course, it turns out to be Jae Hyuk.
They work together and learn more from each other. But this
does not keep them from being at each other's throats most
of the time.
Will they ever give in to the romantic tension?
REVIEWS: At
first sight, you will think that this is your usual "opposites
attract" story but you're in for a pleasant surprise.
Dong Wook is believable as a phobia stricken detective and
you feel empathy for his character but at the same time enjoy
the odd situations he finds himself in, like being nervous
when seeing a pencil point or being unable to go near a knife.
Meanwhile, Hyun Young, in her first lead role, is charming,
even with her signature voice that may seem annoying to most.
In fact, her voice was incorporated in the script with some
comments here and there.
The action scenes were fast paced and it's a good break for
those teenage guys who would rather see the bad guys get their
butts kicked rather than waiting for the lead characters to
admit their feelings for each other.
It's ending is not forced. You might even say that it's open
ended in a way. Overall, it's a fun film that will leave you
rooting for Soo Jin and Jae Hyuk even after you've finished
watching it.
