SYNOPSIS: Kyung-jin,
an impulsive police officer, met Myung-woo by accident when
she mistakenly arrested him. From that time on, regardless
of how hard he tries to avoid her, Myung-woo keeps on ending
up bumping into her. Odd to say, the difference in their personalities
has drawn them even closer together. They became friends unexpectedly
until they realized that destiny helped them meet for a reason.
REVIEWS: People say that
this is a "PREQUEL" of My Sassy Girl maybe because
of some elements they both have in common. Even the ending
of Windstruck has a similarity to the beggining of My Sassy
Girl. It's like starting where it left off. May it be intentional
or not (or maybe just a tactic to make you think that), I
guess Windstruck could never possibly surpass the greatness
of My Sassy Girl (though I didn't like it that much either).
I was looking forward to seeing Ji-hyeon's performance as
an actress. I've been hearing a lot of good things and she
didn't disappoint me in her portrayal here. You could see
how natural she is regardless of how hard it is to be shifting
characters. And from comedy to drama to action, she got it
all taken care of. I bet she could man a movie successfully.
Jang Hyeok was at his best too. A couple of dull acting didn't
hurt his performance that much. And his good looking too.
What I really didn't like is the story. It was doing all
good but the intensity stopped during the half part. It got
boring and a lot of uncalled-for scenes. It became redundantly
annoying. All I can think of is for it to end. And luckily,
just before I almost gave up, it became a little bit interesting.
Seeing Ji-hyeon cry hysterically has changed my mind. Again,
she proved that she is worth watching for. You could get carried
away.
Needlesstosay, the ending is so predictable. The scenes have
basically given away the twist.
It wasn't a complete waste. For a second movie, it has some
good points too. It's funny, dramatic and full of high intensity
ass-kicking action. As long as you don't expect much from
it, you'll be fine.
